Live tabs in Sail are multiplayer experiences where everyone can view the same screen, see cursors and highlights. Everyone can interact with the website, including typing and clicking. We rewrote our multiplayer technology and network driver from the ground up to integrate a more cohesive product in the browser.
You can share as many tabs with people in your space as you like. Under the hood we still use a single WebRTC connection to each peer that we now multiplex for multiple tabs.
When multiple people are online, a dot with their color shows what active tab they are on. If they change tabs, the dot follows.
Live tabs live within sessions that start when you create your first live tab and end when you go offline, switch space, or stop sharing live tabs. When sessions end, tabs are returned to you so you never lose your work even if you stop sharing.
